N1MM DXKeeper Gateway Upgrade

Update version 1.1.4 - 9.October 2009:� From N1MM version 9.9.7 XML protocol was changed again - this means the gateway software had to be changed again ! You need to uninstall previous versions (do that via the Windows ControlPanel).
The complete package including VB6 source code can be downloaded here.
If you have installed the old version uninstall it through the windows control panel and reinstall it by running the *.msi file included in the zip package.

Hawaii and Alaska are missing in the list as they are not defined in the database for WAS in DXKeeper. Alaska is confirmed by LoTW and I am awaiting QSL and LoTW from Hawaii.

New: QSL Gallery

Finally I have written my own ASP code for my new QSL Gallery. You find the corresponding menu item on the horizontal menu line above. There are a lot of flashy gallery softwares out there. But my goal was to have a database-driven gallery. I deploy the DXKeeper (DXLAB suite) logbook where the filename for QSL frontpage is stored in the "User Definable Field 0" and the QSL rearpage in the "User Definable Field 1". With a database-driven gallery a lot of dynamic possibilities open up. I still will improve it by highlighting existence of QSL card in the various QSO and Country listing sections of the web-page.� Scanning of QSL cards is very time consuming. At this stage I have focused to scan the more exotic QSL's, on longer term my ambition would be to have very single QSL card included.

N1MM to DXK Gateway!

Do you wish to log realtime into DXKeeper when making QSO's in N1MM-Logger ?
Do you wish do publish Frequency and Mode in realtime on your webserver when operating your rig with N1MM?

I have developped a small gateway software which fullfills the above two tasks. The program is written in Visual Basic 6. The zip file which you can download here includes everything you need. A short instruction in readme.txt is also included. After downloading the *.zip file you can install the software with the *.msi file.� You need to adapt the .ini file with your FTP username and password when using the frequency/mode update to your webserver. In the *.ini file you also can set if you want to use the realtime logging function and the webupdate function.
I participate in the dxlab and n1mm yahoo discussion groups.

DM780 to DXK Gateway!

I have updated my small software to pass on QSO Log entry from DM780 (the fabulous Digital Mode programme from HB9DRV) to DXKeeper (the fabulous Logging Software by AA6YQ).� Download the zip file containing the exe file as well as the VB6 project files here.� Read also the readme file. The updated version passes now on all ADIF information between DM780 and DXKeeper, including contest serials.

The European PSK Club, or EPC for short, is an informal club of amateur radio operators dedicated to maintaining high levels of amateur radio communications on PSK modes. Its purpose is to promote activity and good operating practice on the PSK modes on all amateur bands. Membership is FREE for any licensed radio amateur, club or SWL. All of our managers serve on a voluntary basis. A high quality and colorful membership certificate in PDF format is sent via email to new members when membership is granted. In order not to violate DXCC rules - and jeopardize both mine and others chances to DXCC diploma applications - I have decided to remove both Date and Time informations in my online logs presented on my web-page !� Hope that others are aware of those rules in their online logs.

Meteor Scatter on 6m

I have started operations in Meteor-Scatter on 6 meters. A fascinating new world has been opened on a band I thought was mostly dead. I recommend all to visit the JT6M homepage: http://www.jt6m.org/.

What is JT6M ?
JT6M is part of the WSJT suite of digimode weak signal software applications developed by Joe Taylor, K1JT (WSJT - Weak Signal by Joe Taylor). JT6M is optimised for 6M meteor scatter but is equally effective with Tropo, weak ES and scatter modes of propagation.

Most of the traffic is going on at 50.230 MHz ... I recommend you log into the ON4KST web-pages to follow the activity.

In March 2003, JT6M was first introduced as first beta version in WSJT Ver.3.5.1 followed with a better and faster version in Ver.3.6.0. Versions since then have seen further improvements. The latest version available is Ver.4.9.8.. This includes changes relating to JT65 mode; JT6M mode remains the same. You can download WSJT software (freeware) from �K1JT's web site�. Latest version is now available V.5.9.7.

I have tested this website with MS IE, Opera and Mozilla during the weekend 29&30 oct. Quite a lot of mods were necessary in order to get the same lookalike in all 3 browsers. Please drop a message if you see strange effects with your browser ... I am in a learning curve here. I have learned that everything which is not defined in HTML can potentially show wrong in a certain browser (like cellpaddings, cellspacings, border thickness etc.).
